I personally feel that Nishant Sir’s classes have tremendously helped in my preparation for IES examination. I have cleared the IES 2021 examination and what has helped me in securing a decent rank in this attempt was my score in the written examination. I owe majorly this to the coaching and astute guidance of Nishant Sir. In my personal opinion, I have not seen any other course material (video lectures as well as the live classes) other than his which has comprehensively covered the syllabus as well as the past year question paper with respect to the Indian Economic Service. On that note I am also grateful to Aditya sir(who manages the back end operation of the classes) for seamlessly managing all the course logistics which has ensured that the daily recordings of the classes are available on time. Over the years, one would notice that the quantitative aspects of IES examination is increasing and the advantage of this is that if one can ace this it could really pull up one’s score. The coverage of these aspects is quite rigorous and if one follows the lectures thoroughly it would be very helpful in the preparation. Also, the test series provides proper mock drills before the finals, and the suggestions received from Nishant sir have helped me personally in crafting good answers. Finally, as Nishant sir reiterates, coaching provides one with the structure and this could lead one’s preparation only till a certain point. Sometimes every aspirant gets stuck with this question - to take up coaching or not? I always get reminded of Nishant Sir’s words , “No, and a resounding no. Leave this paper, coaching is not necessary for any paper, what is necessary, is, your notes, your revision and your regularity. Coaching can give you a regularity, which sometimes students lack and it will help you make notes along with past years, so that you don’t have to spend your time in researching and making notes. And there is someone from whom you can interact and ask doubts. This is the way coaching can help. This is the right attitude before joining any coaching.” Yes, that should be one’s attitude if one wants to take up coaching. As I mentioned earlier that it can take you only to a certain point, from there the journey should be guided till the end by your close friends- sincerity, hard work and humility.
